"Bold, Bright & Boundless" Summer Camp is a four-day immersive art experience at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. This program is open to adults with disabilities, ages 16+.
In this program, campers will explore the bold, colorful world of Dale Chihuly. Chihuly is known for his fearless use of color, organic shapes, and imaginative forms. Throughout this camp, your art won't look like my art! There will be no model to copy. Instead, we will celebrate originality, experimentation, and creative freedom.
Each day, we will visit Chihuly’s and other artists’ installations indoors and outdoors, observing color, shape, scale, and movement. Students will then create their own vibrant sculptures using recycled materials.
Through hands-on exploration and guided support, participants will learn how light, structure, and engineering play a role in sculptural art. This class is about confidence, imagination, and discovering that creativity flows differently in everyone.
Adult students may attend one week of Summer Camp, with the option to join a waitlist for the second week.

*When registering, please select only one Adult Camp. You may indicate interest in a second week via the waitlist on the registration form. This helps ensure space for as many campers as possible.
