OUR 35TH ANNUAL AUCTION
Our recent auction in mid-October at the Goei Center was a tremendous success, drawing nearly 300 attendees! We were delighted to welcome back Greg Bator as our auctioneer, who expertly guided us through the evening. Guests enjoyed bidding on a variety of silent auction items, including artwork, gift baskets, travel, and experiences, all while savoring delicious food and drinks. Live artist Mindy Tolsma showcased her talent by creating two stunning painted plaster floral pieces. Later in the evening, guests were treated to a lively performance by the ACTion Choir and had the opportunity to bid on Live Auction items.
Each year, ACT embraces a unique theme, and for 2024, we chose “WE ARE ALL Growing!” Along with selecting our theme, we also choose collaborative art projects for ACT participants. This year, our artists created beautiful leaf artwork, which adorned our auction photo booth.
The evening also featured an exciting raffle, with the grand prize being an electric bike! The lucky winner was board member Tammy Karas, who was absolutely thrilled with her prize. Another special moment occurred when the entire room surprised Kelly Jandernoa with a heartfelt birthday song. To cap off the night, the ACTion Choir, led by choir director Erinn Epp, delivered a spectacular performance that had the whole crowd singing along.
Year after year, we are continually amazed by the generosity of our community, and this year was no exception. Our annual auction is crucial for supporting ACT programming throughout the year.
