“Volunteering for ACT has been so much fun! I have enjoyed working closely with the team and hope to continue helping ACT spread their creative spirit throughout our community.”
- Spencer
Spencer first began volunteering with ACT last year by designing all of the amazing materials for the WE ARE ALL 2020 Auction, which featured artwork by ACT students. After the pandemic first put the world into quarantine, he was inspired to get involved with area nonprofits whose work he believes in by lending his skills in design and illustration. Spencer’s sister-in-law has a cognitive disability; he has seen how important resources like ACT are for her and the community.
When Spencer’s wife told him about the work that ACT does, he felt immediately compelled to reach out! ACT’s Advancement Director, Emily Evers, nominated Spencer as our Impact Volunteer and shared: “We are excited to have Spencer’s support and creativity here at ACT. He’s taken our vision or ideas for event design to a new level, and we are so thankful for his time and talent!”
